Days of Discovery
While everyday in Oregon offers possibility and a chance for discovery,
each season provides opportunities to enjoy special festivities
and events.
Festival enthusiasts remember Oregon for the famous Autumn
on Parade event held the first weekend of October each year.
It is one of the largest and finest small town festivals in Illinois
featuring arts, crafts, and farmers market, auto show, riverfront
events, and much, much more.
Summertime fun includes The
Fields Project and Arts Festival and The
Ogle County Fair. The Fields Project and Arts Festival is a
unique art venue, which showcases field sculpture and also an outdoor
art show. Both celebrate the century long marriage of art and agriculture
in Ogle Country. These events attract artists, photographers and
sculptors to the area and provide them an opportunity to "paint
the land." Airplane rides providing aerial viewing of the field
sculptures, art in the park, live music, games, and good food round
out the weekend fun.
