facility operated by the Presbytary of Blackhawk; Lorado
Taft Field Campus of Northern Illinois University, which offers
environmental education and various conference programs; Jarrett
Prairie Center that offers a setting for social or business
occasions, conference and retreats.

for youth and group retreats. The campus consists of an office,
a main dining room, the Meadows and Timbers Village and Freedom
Tree Village. Each retreat house can accommodate 32 people in four

1-12, off-site camps, family camp, confirmation camps and vacation
bible schools.
Outdoor education has been a part of LOMC since it was established
in 1974. The program serves both public and parochial schools. Programs
are developed to meet the children's abilities and their current
studies at school. Classes are designed to fulfill elements of the
Illinois Learning Standards.
Groups stay in our heated and air-conditioned retreat villages
and enjoy family style meals in the dining hall. Cookouts and meals
for those with special dietary needs can be arranged in advance.
